So “What are you doing?” This is what Twitter is all interested in knowing. Isn’t it simple enough to just mention and post. Hey! But wait a minute, why are you even doing this? Who would be interested anyway in what you have been doing? Sounds boring and useless isn't it??
Well if you think so then you are unaware of the micro blogging potential. Twitter is a micro blogging platform that allows you to share information within 140 characters. This ensures that you include only the valuable part of the information and cut the unwanted flab knowledge. It is a social media that helps you to connect to people in no time. Each post is referred to as a “Tweet”. Tweets are not similar to

People can re-tweet your posts and reply to you. That is when it becomes more interactive and interesting. You can make numerous friends on Twitter in just no time.
All you would require to get going is an account. You can create a free account online and include your picture, viz. an optional feature. You can jazz up your profile and enter all information. You can also access Twitter through various applications like TweetLater. Such applications manage your account and let you save your tweets as a draft and publish it in future.

Twitter is not meant for a specific group of people. It is a social application that is meant for everyone. Anyone can explore its benefits and make new friends online in no time. For example: A housewife can display and share tweets about the delicacy she discovered, with her followers. Similarly, a college bee can share her latest prom night experience.
