Next, hit the left hand side of your results to narrow the search down to groups,pages,people or posts and this will provide a more targeted list of search results to work with.

Easily said, but often forgotten. Facebook is a social networking platform where people go to socialize, so don't spoil the party, don't be annoying and show some good manners, entertainment and interraction and your home based business ambitions will go a long way. If you're building a home based business business, take the time to get to know people before hitting them with your business proposal.
Nobody wants to be put under pressure to start a business from home, so play fair, allow people to see the real you and let them make up their own mind if your home based business is what they are looking for or not. An easy way to do this is to create a simple link from your profile page to your website or whatever home business you are involved with and a call to action above the link to suggest to people who view your page to take a look at your business opportunity. Remember, this is marketing and people don't want to be sold, so provide value, put together a welcoming profile page and let them make up their own mind about whether or not to join you in your opportunity and your business will start to grow.

People who chose to join you in your home business do so because they have chosen you as much as the business model itself. After all, it's you they will be working with. So, provide value in the form of posts, notes and comments that you make in groups, on people's walls and when putting together your own Facebook note.
If you have a good understanding about a specific area of marketing then write about it and share it on Facebook, adding a few people who will hopefully enjoy your note, add a comment to it and maybe even share it themselves, so that their own contacts and Facebook friends will see it.
