Should I take the Creative coordinator position?

I am a creative intern at an Ad firm, and I try to switch my career focus to marketing, especially social media marketing. But my Creative Director offers me a position of Creative coordinator. Should I take it? I am looking for professional experience from both marketing and advertising, and plz be as detailed as possible. I appreciate for your valuable advice!
