photostream of Iran election protests. The thing about all this that really got me was how the social media connected us all to this event in a way never seen before. By blocking all the normal media, the powers that be in Iran created a situation where people with their hand held devices created an intimate, up-close, and personal experience that we all were a part of. Even though I am in US, I feel as close to these people as if they were my neighbors. Then to make matters worse for the iranian autocrats, the main media broadcasted it all as well. Amazing. Game over for repressive dictatorships. In the end, I think the sword will not be mightier than the twitter.
