What started out as an exclusive college connection playground now has become host to over 100 million worldwide members.  Who would have ever thought that Facebook would become the giant that it has become. Companys large and small know this and are now looking at using Facebook for all their advertising and brand recognition efforts  Companies like Levi Straus and Coca cola were early adopters because they saw huge benefit Facebook in marketing gave them.                                                             

Why do companies want to advertise in Facebook and marketing online so attractive? Demographics my friend, demographics! This social media platform's is so diverse that it makes an ideal marketing means. Once you understand this, it is easy to see how Facebook and marketing can work together to reach a company's market share. The good news is that no matter the size of the company they can easily use Facebook for advertising without the cost restrictions that normally stop many small companies. Now, anyone can advertise in Facebook, even entrepreneurs from home can make money in Facebook!

I personally believe that it could be even more important than having your own web page and company web page. 1.  Recognize the specialized knowledge that you have in a particular area that helps people solve their problems.    2.  Identify a market of people who are willing to reward you with money for a solution to their problem.

3.  Structure your specialty to fit the wants of your market.

4. Create a Fanpage but do not directly advertise in facebook, it will turn people off if you do. Instead, begin to create a following through relationship building

5. Look for problems, issues you know how to solve and begin addressing them in your page.

Before you know it, you will become a Facebook and marketing expert .
