Using social media sites to drive traffic to your website?

I have heard that social media websites such as MySpace can be a good way to drive traffic to your website. Does anyone know how to do this?

My site is http://www.alternativehealthbusiness.com. I provide marketing help for alternative health professionals such as massage therapists, chiropractors, personal trainers, energy healers, nutritionists, etc., and help with job interviewing to massage therapists.
