Media’s impact on different races. Do we form sterotypes bases on what we see in the media?

I am doing a paper on how the media has an impact on our perceptions of different cultures. I am using the social learning theory (how we learn from what we observe) to try and describe how people learn about differnt ethnic groups and create sterotypes about them through the media....can anyone help me out?
