Im a massage therapist from Sweden. I have a client with severe pain all over the body. My client has some arm issues. When he is in prone position and the arms are hanging down the table the are getting numb (median nerve?), same when he is side lying and put pressure on the arm. In supine position I can clearly see redness along the arm that is warm and its really tender starting from the shoulders and going on the lateral side of biceps down on the forearm flexors and it stops at the carpal tunnel area. I have suggested MD for him but he has not been looking it up. Other areas have been better on him after massage and he thinks that I can fix that problem as well. Im not comfortable massaging that area since I dont know what it is. His ROM (range of motion) is ok. He get some pain in resisted arm test but not much. The only thing I got out from the arm test is super pain on palpation and in the case history that he had it for a long time. What would you do in this situation and what do you think it is?
